MSC Cruises to Feature Baseball Greats Dec. 14

MSC Cruises is offering the chance to mingle with great baseball players during the MSC Lirica's Dec. 14 seven-night Caribbean sailing. Among those scheduled to attend are former New York Yankees greats Stan Bahnsen and Tom Tresh, former New York Mets star Ed Kranepool, slugger Ken Griffey Sr. (who spent some time with the Yankees) and former catcher and Major League manager Jeff Torborg.

The seven-night roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale calls at Key West, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, and includes two days at sea.Cruise-only prices begin at $479 per person, double occupancy; government fees and taxes are additional. North American residents who place a reservation through Aug. 31 need only place a $100 deposit per person, based on double occupancy; reservations made after Aug. 31 will require deposits of $250 per person.

The baseball theme cruise includes free interactive passenger/player activities, including a player-hosted trivia game, question-and-answer sessions with the players, a passenger pitching contest and a story-telling session in which the players share some candid revelations. Players will also host pitching, hitting, fielding and base running clinics. Perhaps the most popular activity is the free autograph session at the end of the cruise.
