During this period Three Dog Night was undoubtedly the most popular band in America: twenty-one consecutive Top 40 hits and twelve straight gold LPs. By late '75, they had sold nearly 50 million records. From Old Fashioned Love Song to Mama Told Me Not to Come, their hits wind through the fabric of popular culture for the past four decades.

In early 1965 as the "British Invasion" dominated American music, two rockers from Long Island teamed up with two folkies from Greenwich Village to form The Lovin' Spoonful and go on to record & perform some of the songs that would rule the charts and establish them among the greats of the era. Combining the best of folk music and rock and roll with a touch of country, they gave us such hits as Do You Believe in Magic, You Didn't Have to be So Nice and Summer in the City.
