Why Use a Travel Agent? Isn't it obvious?

ASTA has observed a fundamental shift in the marketplace over the past few years, from

consumers asking "why would I use a travel agent?" to "why wouldn't I use one?"

To help consumers understand the value of using an ASTA travel agent, we commissioned our first video, featuring Craig Sechler of the HBO series Veep.

A study, sponsored by Carnival Corp., was conducted by the globally recognized market research firm, TNS, earlier this year. What did we learn? When participants looked back on their past travel experiences, almost two-thirds of agent users said that using a travel agent made the overall trip experience better. Even better news, 22% of participants indicated that they used a travel agent in the past year – the highest percentage we've seen in over three years.
