The Mexico Tourism Board is re-establishing the Mexico travel industry training program. Home Based Travel Agents will now be able to access an interactive, content-rich on-line training campus at www.magicofmexico.com from the convenience of their home or computer.
The Mexico Tourism Board created the online teaching platform in order to train a larger number of travel agents, while offering them the option to learn the destinations they are most apt to sell based on their local market demand.
Each course, from Acapulco to Zihuatanejo, is complete with text, maps, photos, charts, active links, virtual tour photography, video and a full-resource Digital Library. Home Based Travel Agents will receive study guides, complete with color photographs, electronically.
The program, free of charge to learners, continues to offer detailed information on trip planning and tourism attractions throughout Mexico. Upon completion of a combination of required courses and destination-specific elective courses, agents will receive continuing education credits from The Travel Institute. They will be mailed a diploma to certify their expertise and an agency window decal endorsing them as Mexico specialists.
