For 2007 Gutsy Women Travel is introducing a 12-day journey to Thailand. This tour includes stays in Bangkok, Chiang Rai, and Chiang Mai and is priced from $2,479 per person double including roundtrip economy class airfare from Los Angeles.
There will be five departures in 2007 including Feb. 18, March 8, Sept. 20, Oct. 25, and Nov. 15. The package includes a Bangkok City Tour; private Tai Chi Lesson in Lumpini Park; tour to Ayutthaya and Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace; a visit a Chinese Refugee Village; a trip to Myanmar; a Thai Cooking Class; a visit to the Mae Sa Elephant Training Camp; a tour of three temples: the Wat Traimit, Wat Po, and Wat Benchamabophit; a dinner at a local Thai home, hosted by a leading lady of Chiang Rai; a complete two-hour "Lanna-style Spa," including Aromatherapy, a Thai Herbal Steam, and a traditional Thai Massage; and a visit to the Handicraft Village and Factories and see firsthand how traditional crafts are made (Thai silk and cotton looms, Bo-Sang paper umbrellas, Celadon Kilns, lacquerware, teakwood carvings, jewelry, and silverware).
