The ship will operate out of Vancouver and call at Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway with scenic cruising in Tracy Arm. Before and after the 2011 summer in Alaska, the Disney Wonder will sail seven-night Mexican Riviera cruises from the Port of Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta.

The Disney Magic will return to the Mediterranean in 2011 with 10- and 11-night cruises sailing out of Barcelona. In addition to ports in Italy, France and Spain, the Disney Magic will visit Tunis in northern Africa and the island nation of Malta. Disney Cruise Line also will offer a number of repositioning voyages in 2011, including a 15-night Panama Canal cruise, two 14-night trans-Atlantic voyages, five- and six-night cruises between Los Angeles and Vancouver. The Disney Magic also has scheduled 10- and 11-night holiday sailings to the Mexican Riviera and the Eastern Caribbean. Travel agents will be able to book the 2011 itineraries beginning Sept. 28.

The Disney Wonder will operate 18 Alaska cruises in 2011, from May 3 through Aug. 30. Rates start at $939 per person for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

To prepare for the Alaska sailings, a new venue called Outlook Café will be added to the Disney Wonder during dry dock in October. Located atop deck 10, the 2,500-square-foot Outlook Café will have floor-to-ceiling curved glass windows and a contemporary Art Deco decor. A spiral staircase connects Outlook Café with the existing Cove Café one deck below. The 65-seat lounge has a granite-topped cocktail bar with comfortable seating.

Book-ending the 2011 summer season in Alaska, the Disney Wonder will sail seven-night itineraries to the Mexican Riviera. Rates for the seven-night Mexican Riviera itinerary start at $639 per person for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy. Prior to repositioning to Alaska, the Disney Wonder will sail a 10-night Mexican Riviera voyage, including a stop at Manzanillo.

The Disney Magic will sail 10 10- and 11-night Mediterranean sailings starting on May 28. The itinerary includes visits to Malta, Tunis, Naples, Civitavecchia, La Spezia, Villefranche and Ajaccio, Corsica, an island off the southern coast of France. Rates for the 10- and 11-night Mediterranean cruises start at $1,739 per person for a standard inside stateroom, double occupancy. For the majority of 2011, the Disney Magic will sail out of Port Canaveral on seven-night Caribbean itineraries -- alternating Eastern (St. Maarten and St. Thomas) and Western (Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel). Both itineraries include a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. For more information, call 888-325-2500 or visit www.disneytravelagents.com.

Festive Destinations to Celebrate Christmas

While many holidays are connected to certain regions or religions, Christmas is truly a world wide event. They may not celebrate it like North Americans do—in Finland they spend Christmas Eve at the cemetery, and in Belgium St. Nick has a partner known as Pere Noel—but they do welcome all to join in the merriment.

Make this a Christmas to remember for your family by taking a break from your traditional festivities to experience how another country jingles their bells. Here are several cities that truly get into the Christmas spirit, making them a joy to visit for Christians and non-Christians alike.

Munich, Germany
Germany becomes transformed during December, as Christmas Markets spring up across the country. At Munich's celebrated Christmas market, held in Marienplatz (St. Mary’s Square) since the 14th century, you'll find all manner of crafts, sweets, cakes and other delights. Christmas in Munich is also a time for music, when churches echo with carols and Bach’s ''Christmas Oratorio'' can be heard throughout town.

Edinburgh, Scotland
Beautiful throughout the year, Scotland’s capital becomes magical around Christmastime when winter festivals celebrate with fairground rides, Ferris wheels, outdoor ice rinks, hot food stands and traditional German Christmas markets. Other Christmas events include the Santa Run, Edinburgh's record-breaking attempt for the largest gathering of Santas, the Reindeer Gardens and carol concerts.

Prague, Czech Republic
In Prague, four separate Christmas markets converge in the city center—at Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, Havelske Trziste and Namesti Republiky—filling the air with the sound of Czech carols and the scent of mulled wine. Each market features brightly-colored wooden huts selling local handicrafts, Czech glass, hand-made jewelry, hot food and warm drinks, which you can often enjoy while listening to school children dressed in traditional costume dance and sing for the crowd.

London, England
London hosts many Christmas activities to appeal to millions of revelers. The West End lights up to illuminate shoppers on Oxford and Regent streets; ice-skating rinks appear across town; a massive Norwegian pine is erected in Trafalgar Square; the English National Ballet performs “The Nutcracker” and other favorites at the London Coliseum; there’s even an obstacle race around Covent Garden that contestants run while carrying Christmas pudding on a tray!

Sydney, Australia
Christmas on the beach? Why not in Sydney, where the warm summer season makes such beaches as Bondi and Manly prime destinations for a Christmas day family barbeque. Christmastime is also celebrated with a light show projected nightly onto the Town Hall and the annual Carols by Candlelight at the Domain, which concludes with a stirring, hand-holding, candle-raising rendition of “Let There Be Peace On Earth.”
