Let's say you want to earn $60,000 in commissions this
year.
Divide
that by your average commission to see how many sales you need to
make.
1.
$60,000 by $300 commission = 200 sales per year or 4 per week.
To
increase your commission use suppliers that pay higher
commissions.
Lets
say you're average commissionable sale is
$3,000.00
$3,000. X 12% = $360 commission
$3,000. X 15% = $450 commission (that’s 50% more commission)
$3,000. X 17% = $510 commission
Rumor has it, that GOGO is increasing their commissions to 17% for all sales made in 2015
If
your average sale is not at least $3,000, here are some ways to increase your sales and
commissions.
1.
Sell Travel Insurance. (20 to 30% commission)
3. Up-sell clients to Suites or Jr. Suites.

5. Become a niche destination expert.
6. Do at least one group booking per year.
7. Always ask for referrals.
Do they know of any one who is planning a honeymoon, special occasion trip or group. Do they have any relatives or friends that do a lot traveling.
8.
Dialing for dollars. Call everyone who booked with you during the past 3 years
and see where they want to go in 2015. Don’t forget to call all your friends,
relatives, doctors, lawyers, business
owners you deal with and any one else you can think of.
Dialing for dollars is a
lot more productive that siting on the couch and hoping someone would call you.
You can't afford to wait for business to come
to you. You have to go and get it. Success is a choice, YOUR
CHOICE!
9.
Stop selling cheap trips and cruises. Start selling quality All-Inclusive
Resorts, Luxury Vacations, Adventure Trips, Bucket List Destinations and
Romantic Getaways.
NOTE: It
is especially important for all cruise clients to get to the port at least one
day early just in case there are
weather or other unforeseen air delays that would make the client miss the
cruise sailing. It’s also another hotel booking and more commission in your
pocket.
According
to all the experts, 2015 will be a fantastic banner year for travel agents.
